Information regarding change in Business Day of ICICI Bank Limited, (DIFC Branch)

Dear Valued Customer,

In pursuance of UAE government’s decision to transition to a new working week and our regulator’s move in the same direction, ICICI Bank Limited (DIFC Branch) (the “Bank”) has decided to change its working week. Accordingly, with effect from January 02, 2022, the Bank shall be open for business and normal banking transactions from Monday to Friday and shall adopt a Saturday and Sunday weekend.

Please take note of this change for your transactions with the Bank, from January 02, 2022 onwards.

We welcome the change heralded by the UAE government and are striving to extend the benefits of that to our customers. We believe that aligning with international standards shall promote economic and personal well-being of our employees, customers, and all associates.

Where the terms and conditions of your products or services define a business day (howsoever described), with the exception of Friday and Saturday, or Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with effect from January 02, 2022, this definition will be deemed to be amended to instead define a business day in the UAE with the exception of Saturday and Sunday.

However, kindly note that this change in the working week is only relevant for customer servicing from our DIFC Branch. There is no change in the business days and/or working hours of our booking centres like India, Singapore, or Bahrain, which shall continue to process and execute transactions as usual. Please remain in touch with your relationship manager to understand the impacts, if any, on the tentative timings of execution of your specific transactions.

We are in constant engagement with the authorities in this regard and shall keep you updated as and when required. For any further clarifications, please contact your relationship managers.
